Coffee lovers with a discriminating palate- I’ve found your littlee piece of heaven. 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters offers some of the finest coffee in all of Vancouver- much better than that thick, bitter, and lukewarm junk you brew at home. Hey- maybe you make great coffee. But it just can’t taste as sweet when it’s prepared for you by Master Roaster Michael Piccolo.

They offer a vast collection of coffee from all over the world, including Costa Rica, Guatemala, Brazil, Ethiopia, India, Colombia, and Kenya.
Served in baby blue coffee cups (which you can purchase), this coffee is expertly prepared in ways you can’t even imagine.

They even provide you with your chance to own a little piece of 49th Parallel. Think you can re-create their taste? Go right ahead and try with their line of grinders, brewers, accessories, and other paraphernalia to help you experiment. I’d really love to see you frantically trying to recreate that perfect cup of joe, while sweating profusely and convincing yourself it tastes like the real thing. Sure it does.

Great coffee. I take my coffee very seriously. I am not even remotely pleasant in the morning until I have had a cup of the addictive brew, and if forced to give up all but one vice I think it would be coffee.

Therefore, a visit to Parallel is a must-do.

    Great, great coffee.

Not great for breakfast. For what I paid for a bagel, I could have had 2 eggs and toast over at Waves.

I have lived in North Vancouver for 5 years & have no idea why anyone would bother to write a review on any Vancouver restaurant.
    The food here is pathetic.
In all of my travels, I have never encountered such poor quality food anywhere.
The grocery stores produce is also amongst the worst.
Meat is a story unto itself.
Try buying a PRIME RIB ROAST.
Luck will play a 95% role in the outcome.
The embarassment of serving garbage has reduced my home entertainment by 90%
We have a Zillion Chinese people here & their restaurant food is also below acceptable standards.
Try serving this in Montreal - Toronto or anywherelse & you would be staring bankruptcy in the face.
Rob Feenies closures of (Lumiere & Feenies) are 2 examples overpriced crap.
Even Le Cafe de Paris has declined in the past 2 years.
Wake up Vancouver, you are not up to par.

If you are hard core coffee drinker this is the place to get your latte, americano, cappucino. It is a no nonsense, no frills, coffee house with fabulous free-trade beans, and a good espresso machine ( not one of the new automatic machines that massacre espresso beans ). There are only a few seats inside so this may not be a place to bring your lap-top and relax for a few hrs. The staff is always friendly. The service is pure " coffee ".
