The Films of Jean Eustache :: Jul. 11 – Jul. 17
he Cinematheque Ontario presents a series dedicated to one of the great cult figures of foreign cinema, Jean Eustache. His defining achievement is The Mother And The Whore, a 215-minute dialogue-driven intellectual epic. It’s the perfect movie to bring the whole family to for a wholesome afternoon of fun. This selective retrospective also includes Eustache’s only other feature Mes Petites Amoureuses, plus a half-dozen of his shorter pieces and Angel Diaz’s film about the director. Fans of challending foreign art cinema won’t want to miss this.—P.B.
Tickets are $5.90-$10.14
Jackman Hall, Art Gallery of Ontario, 317 Dundas Street West, Toronto, ON
