he world probably didn't need another designer water bottle, but consider, for a moment, Sigg's Swiss Screen Lifestyle Water Bottle. Originally designed in 1941 for the Swiss Army, the environmentally friendly Swiss bottle company has gone all hipster with their water bottle. Designed to fit your curiously hectic lifestyle, the Sigg ultra lightweight 20oz bottles are available in a fun line-up of colors and designs, but the Swiss Screen is what caught our eye.

Extruded from a single sheet of aluminum, the innovative SIGG 0.6 L bottle is surprisingly rugged, crack-resistant, reusable and recyclable. And, to a certain point, unbreakable. A hybrid of its predecessors, the patented interior lining is 100% effective against leaching and combats residue build-up, making the 0.6 litre bottle easy to clean and ensures that all you taste is the water, juice or energy drink that you just poured in the bottle.

Think that's excessive Swiss design and craftsmanship to go into a simple drinking bottle? Well, there's more. Take a close look at the SIGG Active bottle cap; this baby is leak-proof and the mouthpiece is tightly closed. To drink, you merely press the top down with your mouth (no need to fidget with the mouth piece with your fingers) and the gap opens wide enough for good flow for drinking. Then, when you set the bottle down, the mouthpiece closes automatically and the top sealed once again. Small touch, but a pastiche of smart design and progressive thinking, and it works for the most part.
