 For those who are afraid to risk their precious dollars on a new restaurant, Winterlicious is a low-cost alternative to visiting some of the best offerings in town. As part of Toronto’s WinterCity Festival, Winterlicious returns for its seventh year, offering a low risk (meaning cheap) chance to visit a restaurant you might not otherwise afford. 150 restaurants are participating this year, offering up prix-fixe three-course meals. From January 29 to February 11, Toronto becomes a one-stop-shopping celebration of culture, creativity and cuisine. But this is hell for restaurateurs and waitstaff, so tip generously. And see if you can stretch your reach beyond "a round of house water."
