    To be honest when first looking at Cara Barer's art I didn't really understand what it was; I couldn't even tell what medium she was using. It looks like kaleidoscope pictures. Upon closer examination (OK I'm not going to lie, also a visit to her website) I realized that they were photographs of books. That's how amazing and unusual they are-you can't even tell they are books. And when you realize they are you wonder how the hell did she do that? Call first-it's by appointment only. A.C.
