Toronto Galleries
hree architectural groups have gotten together and created exhibitions that examine the notion of the notion of the "sacred space." First up is Levitt Goodman Architects ltd and their contribution Twilight. Their project attempts to recreate the color experience of watching the sky of a 24-hr period. It's a quite stunning light display that should go over well with art students and soft drug users. Kearns Mancini Architects Inc. chose to focus on Ceremony and have created an exhibition of ceremonial spaces in Toronto, they also invite guests to add their own personal local Ceremonial locations to the exhibit. The Final contribution comes from Taylor Smyth Architects, who offer a collection a collection of photographs of banal spaces that they consider sacred in the city. If you're a fan of hallucinogenic colors or local architecture this is the show for you.—PB
