ld turns new, black and white becomes colour, but photography as an art is timeless (well
ever since the camera was invented at least!). John Massey is having a photography showing of two collections of his work, one from 1979 and one from today. It is quite obvious that there is a difference between the two, and seeing them side-by-side is pretty cool like a clash of the times. The photos form 1979 are black and white, and it's just obvious that the furniture and accessories are old the quality is amazing, though, so it looks like the photos could easily be set up to look like they were taken in the 70's. The photos from today are so blatantly from today that it seems almost like a parody they are landscape photos except all taken from inside a luxury vehicle that has become what we consider beautiful sleek electronics. The concept is awesome because he's juxtaposing natural beauty with a beauty that we have created. M.K. |
