    Paul Donald likes plaid. A lot. His new art exhibit called "Certainties" is displayed at Akau and consist of 3D cutouts of white paper, left white or solid bright-coloured on one side and painted on the other side in a plaid pattern with overlapping bright colours, which leave the majority black except for certain squares of bright yellow or pink. A plaid house; a plaid monster; a plaid squiggly thing; if you love plaid as much as Paul does, and enjoy intricately cut-out paper made into 3D shapes, "Certainties" will make your knees quiver. – M.K.
