Toronto Galleries
eing not-for-profit and totally free to visitors, the Bloor West Village Art Tour is done in true art form for the art, not the money; local artists created the tour in 1997 as a means to showcase their work and get recognized.
This year, there are 21 artists at 19 separate locations, so visiting each exhibit is literally is a tour of the Bloor West area, which is a very artist-popular community. Take a stroll on a beautiful summer day, look at art created by local artists and relax sounds like a day. You can hang out at the cafes and cute shops, which is also a goal of the tour to show how great the community is in addition to how much artistic talent the area contains. M.K.
