 nusual "tableaux vivants," or "living stills"' are Adad Hannah's focus. What are hard to distinguish between photography and film are in fact videos Hannah have taken, asking his models to remain as still as possible for ten to fifteen minutes. Hannah's works employ another contradiction: suspense and boredom. Viewers are captivated by a seemingly still image, but cannot look away for fear of an exaggerated breath or shakiness that might prove otherwise. Hannah is one of many artists featured at this exhibit. C.S.
