Location: Corner of King Street and John Street, Toronto, ON

The Toronto International Film Festival Group is getting ambitious. Feeling that Toronto lacks a true cinematic hub, TIFFG is more than making up for it with Bell Lightbox. The large-scale venture already well under construction will include everything that a film lover could possibly want. The five-story podium building will deliver 150,000 feet of pure cinematic revelry at the corner of King and John (which makes sense, because it is the entertainment district).

There will be five state of the art theatres, 3 learning studios, a film reference library, and David Cronenberg himself available upon request (one of those things may have been made up). $133 million has already been raised for the project, so you can expect big things when Bell Lightbox opens in late 2009. - R.T.
