here’s nothing like slipping into a fluffy robe, sipping on an herbal tea, and having all your mental and physical needs met without any effort exerted on your part. The GQ Spa understands our needs and has fluffy robes, tea and spa packages galore just awaiting our arrival at 99 Sudbury Street. Slip into something more comfortable and let them take you away; away from work, away from traffic, away from demanding kids and cranky clients. Let your troubles melt down like warm wax with the soft touch of an experienced masseuse. And the prices aren’t too bad either.
Catering to both men and women despite the masculine moniker, the gQ Spa has a wide variety of packages available for people of all backgrounds. They cater to everyone from the mother (Time for Mom Package) to the student (Study Break Package) to the loving couple (Couple’s Time Together Treatment). Drop in for a Just What I Needed ($171) treatment on one of those days where the world is crashing down on you and walk out refreshed with done nails, polished feet and a limber back. Sometimes all we need is a quick fix and some hands on attention.
The Spring Awakening is one of gQ’s most ordered packages. It includes a mud soak, a body scrub, and a face treatment. It’s rejuvenating to get all those dead skin cells scrubbed off and a facial is never a bad idea, but a mud bath? That’s right. The moor mud bath is gQ Spa’s signature treatment and helps to aid insomnia, stress, muscle tension and arthritis. The accommodating staff ease you into a Jacuzzi of moor mud and then they crank on the jets. With 45 jets pumping mud off of your muscles this could be an even more effective technique than massage.
With its convenient location and vast service menu the gQ Spa will be one of my pampering destinations next winter. I love a good sauna in the winter, don’t you? Now open. –J.T.
