ne of Europe’s finest athletic apparel company has launched their first Canadian “Ship Container” outfit on busy Bloor Street West with an array of their famed attire stored within the concept boutique. Launching their new French 77 brand, complete with green and white argyle print caps, the retro styles will take you back to an old school French Open tennis match without the bad perms and penchant for body hair.

Current kicks for the men include the pricey yet functional 96 Hours – Italian leather and suede with a special removable EVA Cassette (no the shoes don’t play muzak) that allows the owner to changed the heel density depending on your walking pattern. Though they may be pricey, the style and function pale in price comparison to those hideous orthotics.

Michael Schumacher Ferrari high tops (without the flame retardant) and ladies golf shoes with removable tassels for on and off the green style are other notable mentions. Streamlined, sporty, sexy and perhaps sassy (?) shoes (I can’t help myself here) will hopefully inspire the fashionistas parading Yorkville strip to add some fresh Euro style to their wardrobe. - E.J.
