Expect some big name authors doing readings, some discussions, advice for young writers, events for kids, and a ton of music, food, and entertainment. Plus, you can pick up a bunch of free and cheap books that you'll probably never read. Last year, the annual event took place the same weekend as Nuit Blanche, but still managed to attract record attendance, which means you know this festival is getting big. Apparently people in Toronto actually read books. I was under the impression the only way to read nowadays was off a computer screen. Word on the Street takes place Sunday at Queen's Park.
