The ABC’s of Alcohol :: Jameson's
Page 1 of 4
 here’s something about being Number One that makes a man, or a bottle, stand tall, and stand out. That’s why Jameson’s Irish Whiskey has a winning hue about it: that glow of green-bottle pride denotes a champion.
Here's a history lesson: the word whiskey is an Anglicized version of the ancient Irish term “uisce beathe,” which translates, quite beautifully, into the very noble “water of life” (that alone explains a lot about the Irish). Jameson’s is an Irish Whiskey, and contrary to the apparent Scottish lineage of John Jameson, I’m going to leave it be without performing any paternity tests on the bottle. It’s Irish; the Scottish spell whiskey without the ‘e’—that’s how I really know. Besides, Jameson had already fled his homeland for the lush greens of Ireland before redefined Irish tradition with John Jameson and Sons. What’re you gonna do? The man wanted to be Irish. Can you blame him?
