It doesn’t take much effort to see that Sydney Pollack had a truly remarkable career in Hollywood, becoming of those few special talents who are capable of excellence both in front and behind the camera. Despite suffering from stomach cancer, Pollack never slowed down in his final years and surely would have been capable of producing more excellent work as both a director and an actor if he had survived. His presence will be missed in Hollywood. The industry could use more hard working and artistically driven talents like him.–PB, News Extensions
