    New Comedy Trailers Make The Internet Funny Again

    When Friday roles around it’s pretty common for trailers to pop up on the internet. Since new trailers will be accompanying all the new Friday releases, it only seems appropriate that the studios will put them up on the interweb at the same time (it ain’t rocket science people). As your noble guide to film geekery, I make it my duty to keep myself updated with all the latest trailers to hit the worldwide web. Today two particularly exciting trailers made an appearance. The films in question are comedies written and directed by masters of the genre: the Coen Brothers’ Burn After Reading and Kevin Smith’s Zack and Miri Make A Porno.

    The Coen Brothers’ Slapstick Spy Adventure

    First off is an ad for the latest outing by the Coen Brothers. Coming off the multi-Oscar winning No Country For Old Men it would seem logical that the brothers would make another dark character-actor filled crime drama to capture the same audience. However, if you think that, you obviously don’t know the Coens. These are the same directors who followed up their Midwestern kidnapping movie with a heart of gold (Fargo) with a twisted film noir stoner comedy about the adventures of a burned out hippy and his Viet-Nam obsessed friend(The Big Lebowski). It’s standard Coen brothers procedure to follow any movie with a title that is as different from their last movie as possible. Which is it only makes sense that the Coens would follow up No Country For Old Men with this:
