KD: What tracks are you working on now?
SG: A remix of Peter Bailey –
Pushing Beats - will come out soon on Stereo Productions (Chus & Ceballos’ label). And on a compilation with DJ Vibe – live at Stereo – out around February.
KD: You’ve worked with so many artists already, is there anyone that you have in mind to work with in the future?
SG: Hmm... that’s a good question. Well I always wanted to work w/ DJ Vibe and we’re doing that now, so I feel good about that. And, Cashmere comes to mind.
KD: How would you describe your music, the music that you play and spin and produce?
SG: Oh… that’s another good question. I like so much different types of house – I wouldn’t consider myself just a vocal house DJ, I play it, I wouldn’t consider myself just tribal, but I play it. I play electro stuff, I play deeper stuff, you know closer to the end of a set. So I’ll just leave that up to the people to decide.
KD: I know you don’t take a lot of weekends off. And I know that you stress a lot. So how do you keep yourself sane? What do you like doing outside of the DJ/club world?
SG: Hmmm... well, we watch movies a lot. I have a boyfriend of 7 yrs. That keeps me sane – and I have a dog, but I’m a pretty quiet guy – that’s why when I have a weekend off, I like to stay home.
KD: What breed of dog do you have?
SG: Oh, a chocolate lab.
KD: When was your last vacation? Where did you go? What did you do?
SG: A year ago – I went to Chicago. But we travel - we went to Mexico last spring – when I’m working, sometimes we take a couple extra days.
