Gordon Ramsay Puts Angela Hartnett In Charge Of His Latest venture
t’s been announced that Gordon Ramsay Holdings (no points for guessing who’s in charge that organization) will be responsible for running the restaurant at a new luxury hotel in central London. The currently unnamed dwelling will be an 80 room boutique hotel located on the corner of York and Albany. It is sure to cause a stir on the London hotel circuit and will undoubtedly become one of the most opulent places to stay in the city.
This will be the first independent boutique to have the food beverages handled exclusively by Gordon Ramsay Holdings. It’s a significant step forward for Ramsay’s ever-growing food empire. All the hours logged by Ramsay abusing young chefs on reality TV have proved to be an excellent career move for the celebrity chef. It’s a good thing he doesn’t treat the customers that way…unless you can’t properly digest your food without a health dose of masochism of course.
However, Ramsay will not be running the kitchen himself. He’s turned that responsibility over to Angela Hartnett. Hartnett began working with Ramsay in 1994 when the demanding chef forced her to work seventeen hour days and six day weeks. The persistence paid off as Harnett has already run several successful kitchens, earned a Michelin star, and hosted her own British cooking show. She will run this kitchen starting in April as well as assuming head chef duties at the upscale Italian restaurant Murano when it opens in May. –P.B. | If you enjoyed this article, you should also check out | | David O.
