inally, you can literally have dinner above the plebs, just like Zeus and his godly cabal - or the Care Bears. Dinner in the Sky is on its way to la belle province.
The Belgium-based Dinner in the Sky has hosted events in major cities across the world, including Dubai, Johannesburg, Las Vegas, Paris, and London. Most notably, it made its Canadian debut in Toronto at the beginning of July, allowing citizens to enjoy a gourmet meal while dangling above the elegant beauty of concrete urban sprawl.
Dinner in the Sky is now owned by Jean-Francois Grenier, a native Montrealer, so it's only fitting that the concept be making a sojourn to Montreal. Starting August 27, local companies can begin licensing for the privilege of skyward eating.
Elegantly dangling - that's the best kind of dangling - from a 120-tonne crane 150 feet above the ground, 22 patrons per session will be able to enjoy a fancy meal whilst gazing at the cityscape. Strapped in to seats at a large table affixed to a 9 x 5 metre platform, aloft feasters will watch chefs whip up meals while floating near the firmament.
Try not to drop your fork - also try not to stroll about under the platform - and make sure to hit the restroom before ascending. Otherwise, I'd fear for the people below.
