    City-TV Moves to Dundas Square
    By Scott Tavener in Attractions
Ted Rogers is about to smash a news-truck through the Olympic Spirit building at Yonge and Dundas Square. Like a recently divorced spouse turned roommate, City-TV has stayed in its historic home at 299 Queen Street West since being sold to Rogers Media in June. Ending a 20-year residence, City leaves Much, Bravo, and its other old pals alone in the tumult of Queen. It has acquired new digs at the concrete Mecca. The 35 Dundas Street East location previously housed Olympic Spirit, a celebration of Olympiads past, present, and future.

Like any experimental recent divorcee, City is going to shack up with new roommates, Real World-style. Rogers intends to move its OMNI operations to the square, creating a collision of television personalities and wires aplenty. Will empty milk cartons end up back in the fridge? Will dishes go unwashed? You'll have to wait and see.

Before its 1987 move to the CHUM-City building, City lived on Queen East, so this is a return to its roots of sorts. I told you that East is the new West. Tangentially, Late Great fans need not worry, City is still in the same time zone. Also, Fashion Television watchers (furtive adolescents) and Baby Blue devotees (ibid) have no cause for concern, programming will not change. Incidentally, how do I get Mark Dailey to record my answering machine message? -S.T.
