The Social
The Social opened a little over a year ago. With little fanfare, advertising or promotion, it has managed to secure a loyal following of clubbers. The bar tends to attract a fairly mainstream, though anti-clubland, crowd, dolled up and looking for action. DJ’s play regularly, with a mish-mash of musical variations. Drinks are reasonable, and the $3.50 pints of 50 are the best bargain on the Queen West strip. November '06 saw a huge expansion in the back, with an additional full-size bar and larger dance floor. Discreetness must be paying off; lucky proletariat. – B.D. 1100 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON Full Story

Though certain factions still lament the loss of Bamboo, Ultra has made the space its own. Where else can you fine-dine and without wearing a tuxedo? (Shhh, that was rhetorical.) 314 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON Full Story
