    Review by Brad Jamieson
So, you want some cute, sloppy, bachelor-apartment fun. This is what you do. Take a trip to Queen West, at Spadina and you will find Wide Open, a hallway-sized bar nestled between the clothing shops.

This cozy bar is a friendly, unfussy refuge for serious drinkers and the people who like to imitate them.

Walls are covered with peeling paint, exposing raw brick beneath. Tiny spot lights are the main source of light and motley curios like photos and candles are scattered about the room. Framed curator-organized art by local artists decorate the walls. The bar runs the length of the room, and very few vinyl chairs and banquettes fill the small back area.
Wide Open has a potential fun-house reputation in the works, as something seems to be shaking on any given night. The hipster influx is mainly limited to weekend nights with the hip spot overflow. The mix gets more interesting as the nearby bars close and wanderers show up for a last-ditch nightcap.

I fucked the bartender! 4 stars for still being open. Way to not hire ugly people.
