Tutti Matti translates to: “Everybody’s crazy,” but the rustic Italian restaurant located on Adelaide brings Tuscan classics to this upscale, but laidback, eatery. The menu has the freshest in homemade breads and pastas. The Papardelle con stracotto is one of their notable dishes with hand-cut pappardelle with pulled brisket, cherry tomatoes, garlic and fresh herbs ($16). – A.C.

Eating a Tutti Matti was an experience. Their very knowledgeable staff gave us background on each dish and helped us chose the perfect wine.

All in all, a wonderful restaurant with amazing food.

I'm assuming those with negative reviews were looking for the Old Spaghetti Factory and took a wrong turn.

From all the tutti ive eaten in my life, this place served the most astonishing and best tutti ive had in years. Even better then my own, and believe me...saalin and boti are always a good mix too but it wasnt close to the tutti I had at Tutti Matti. I think we are all misunderstood by the whole experiance, I mean the place is called tutti matti, obviously your gonna get the best tutti experiance ever..what else can u ask for? If you want to be treated like tutti..go to tutti matti..they will surely give u the tutti experiance of a life time, and yes it even smells fresh too. Also the bathrooms are great..a wide variety of tutti in the stalls, I believe it gets recycled...a good choice for appetizers. Good job Tutti Matti...keep the tutti alive.

This Restaurant is one of the best "Authentic" Italian restaurants in Toronto. There's no other place like it.
I travel to Italy quite often and the food of Chef Alida Solomon is the closest tasting to Italy's that I've ever had in this country. Many people just simply do not understand the food, because it is definitely NOT your typical "Canadian/Americanized/Italian" food like Spaghetti with meat balls, penne alla vodka, pasta with sundried tomatoes and chicken etc... thats not true Italian food. You will NEVER see chicken on a menu in Italy unless its a restaurant for tourists. The food of Tuscany is Peasant food, using seasonal ingredients, lots of hearty game meats like boar, rabbit, pheasant, and venison... Do some research on traditional Tuscan cuisine if you're going to eat here and then you'll understand.

If you want to experience a true Tuscan Dining experience with some fantastic local wine from Montalcino and the surrounding area, Do NOT go for summer/winterlicious, because for 25/35 dollars you definitely will not get it. If you don't want to spend the money then thats a differnt story.

Its very sad reading some people's 'reviews' because everyone thinks they're a food critic coincidently its obvious that by what they're writing, they have very little knowledge of food.

    Keep it up Tutti Matti.

Our family had dinner at Tutti matti and was a TERRIBLE experience. The food was cold and not worth the prices they were charging. I had the pinci and my wife had the rabbit and the rest the family had the fish. The pasta was ok but still eatable, my wife had a battle with bones, wowwwww what kind rabbit was? The fish was a little bit overcook and honestly the chef could serve it instead of dry vegetables. We asked to the chef to came over. Chef owner Alida came to our table to perform awful magic tricks which was embarrasing. Maybe she should be in the kitchen working on his technique...The service scandalous and ridicolous. Needless to say, we won't be returning tutti matti

The food is very Tuscan. The owner is very creative with her dishes.

The 2 younge Italian chefs are very talented. Service was good.

Attended for Summerlicious 2007. After a sparkling experience at Mildred Pierce, I was hoping for another prix fixe success at Tutti Matti. The food was mediocre. Cold bread was served with olive oil and vinagrette. The appetizer, carpaccio di manzo was ordinary, while the main, pappardelle al ragu, was okay, hot but not very moist and a bit unpleasantly dry in the mouth. The dessert was chocolate cake, which tasted like a sheet cake (improved by melted caramel), but the little scoop of vanilla ice cream was amazing and tasted of delicious vanilla. I know: what can you expect for $25? Still, I will probably not go back to Tutti Matti after Summerlicious, particularly after how warmly I was treated and how stunning the food was at Mildred Pierce for a comparable price.

It was the service that was the most annoying -- slow and not very proactive. It was a busy night, but after many delays in trying to catch the eye of our server (to ask for water, signal for the bill, etc), my boyfriend confided me that he got the distinct impression our server was actively ignoring us. We were a bit mystified, but paid (gratuity was already included), and left, without any intention of returning. Perhaps our expectations were built up; I made reservations on a recommendation, and one of my boyfriend's relatives had backed up the choice.
