    Review by Trevor Finn
To discourage local habitués from winter hibernation, Charles Khabouth has taken over This is London, dropped a whirlwind of a design upon the club and returned it to its hyper-lavish roots, this time with bottle service.

The new This is London has been revamped, redone, renovated, remodeled, and even reLondoned. Everything – bars, walls, floors and railings - have been replaced. Even the staircases have been refinished and relocated. The sound system was fine-tuned by Air Canada Centre’s main sound technician.

Previously, T.I.L. had a loft-like quality to it; what we have now is something reminiscent of an English mansion. Flooring and beams are polished aged wood, and walls are covered in richly detailed wallpaper, Victorian armchairs are abundant, and chandeliers are spread throughout the establishment. There are even library book stands. Walk upstairs and a plethora of seating areas scream for bottle service. While you’re up there, look over the glass railing, or one of the Juliette balconies, and gaze down your prey below.

Don’t be surprised to see people smoking. Jesse Carere, Marketing Director for Ink (the company headed by Mr. Khabouth) explains that until May, the club is considered a private club – and you can therefore smoke anywhere inside. Fortunately, the air circulation system sucked it away from my non-smoking face.

    PRENTIOUS beyond belief!!

The decor was amazing, a really cool place and it has the potential to be a really fun club...

A lot of improvements need to be made, firstly, because it's over priced ($20 cover, and $200 per bottle service for VIP) there are a lot of snotty trust-fund-babies and wanna be's. The staff was very rude until they realized we were a big VIP party there for a special occasion, and would possibly spend lots of $$. And they need a new DJ.

Not the worst place I've been, and it has a lot of positives, but unless the snobby vibe is dropped, it's not such a fun atmosphere.

I won't be going back any time soon.

    TIL is lame.
This club houses some of the most uncoordinated and awkward people. I had the pleasure of watching wanna-be fashionistas, and wannabe metro sexuals attempt to look posh, and dance in this stunning venue. It was great, for a few giggles, and then i couldnt take it anymore, and had to exit out of fear that the wanna-be gene maybe contagious.

This is definatelty the place where all the people that were lame in high school, university, and i'm more than certain they're lame currently go to attempt to mingle.

TIL is amazing and the Door staff were nice to me. We were there for the Carl Cox party and it was raining. The door staff brought out 30 umbrellas to give to people in the line up.

Well I do have to say that I was quite satisfied with my recent TIL experience. I hadn't been to the place in years, but heard about the cosmetic changes and more importantly, about the stellar DJ lineup this Spring. I went on a Friday night when the club endeavors to host a more dance oriented crowd, but was almost turned away for wearing relaxed, yet stylish (and very expensive white Pumas). Needless to say I wasn't amused. Once inside, I was impressed with the layout and overall decor of the club. It was clear that management spent quality time on the concept. Early on, the scene was humourously mismatched from a demographic perspective, but my friends and I used the opportunity to chat with ladies that we would never be seen talking to on the street :-) A little past midnight, the vibe started to foament and music took it stride for stride. By 2 am it was a funkadelic groove throughout the place. The boyz and I were puttin' it down in style with the ladies. The world was a beautiful place. My only regret is that there weren't enough hard party heads to keep the energy going past 3:30 am. Thanx for really nice time guys. I'll be back tonight.

I supose that in order to keep the club exclusive, beyond of course the cost of this club is the "ultra" ridiculous door staff. They behave like you owe them a favor and should get on your knees for them to inflate their already oversized egos. For some it may add to the mystique, but for most it will just mean a single trip.

Bouncers are generally rude, but this place takes the cake for power hungry, steroid drinking , loooosers. I won't speak on behalf of all of them. Could be the ones on duty that night..but what pricks!! My friends were having a big party inside to which they reserved ahead of time. The guy at the door wouldnt let me in because I didn't have a button shirt. I said fine then, went home got a button shirt came back... (can u say inconvenience?) Anyways, get back in line get to the door, mr tough guy says I still can't go in ... simply because he already made up his mind that I can't go in. Ok... this is winter and my friends are inside dropping thousands as we speak, and u wont let me in?? Nope just cause i said so.... ok folks be ready to be treaty unjustly if u go to this place.
