ou know what they say “variety is the spice of life” but I think that’s far too encompassing and would rather just go with “Thai is the spice of life”. Known for their hot chili spices, affinity for basil and love of mint, a variety of spices is evident in Thai cooking from the delicious smells wafting by your nose the moment you walk in the place. Located in the heart of Yorkville, the tiny resto is housed within a basement location (excellent for hiding from the constantly people-watching elite foodie snobs who would snub you on future occasions if you were ever caught).
Those who could care less about where they dine (or just want to keep an eye on their BMW Z4) will fall in love with the dainty summer patio enclosed by wrought iron railings and shaded by beautiful maples. The menu is full of the usual pad thai & cashew chicken dishes, however curry lovers will die for the pineapple curry dish that instantly transports you to the tropical resorts of Thailand. Stirfries, satays and exotic Thai soups round out the menu, but don’t forget to save room for dessert – the fried bananas are amazing.
