Review by Scott Tavener

ith a name drawn from both the Happy Pill in Brave New World and an Iranian hallucinogenic clergy drink (seriously), the neoteric Soma has a strong sousing focus. Boasting an extensive martini-based card (40 varieties) and a rotating and evolving contempo casual menu, this latest addition to the will-be Queen East strip just past the river hopes to cater to the increasing horde of East Side root-takers.
Resident DJs, many from the surrounding area, with a sliding and liquid focus will keep Soma's leather-heavy lounge sticky (not in a gross way) and chilled (yeah, I know it's a paradox) 7 nights a week. Expect exposed brick, wood, and dashing, swaying e-zine writers.
