hala-Mar has been in operation for 19 years, way way before the area became so trendy. The façade is quite notable, a beautiful cascading mosaic of coloured pebbles stream over the doorway and windows. The innards of this Indian and Pakistani resto are just as handsome, with a pinched-fabric ceiling, hand carved screens and a teardrop table that seats eight. Anticipate exotic spices, local celebs, and—of course—reservations. -L.S.

1 Reader Reviews | Place sucks. We booked a table for 8 and the curry tasted same in all different 6 dishes and naan that they gave were not fresh actually same naan that you can get from any convenience store. All in all I was really disappointed and will never go again.
