Beginning January 1st, Senses Restaurant will undergo extensive renovations with a new menu designed by Chef Patrick Lin. Senses Bar, which is beside the resto, will also get a face-lift to please your artistic/drunken eye.

Built with the intention of pampering their previous loyal and well-heeled patrons (and of course attracting additional ones), and a menu in which most dinner entrées are in the reasonable price range, Senses is designed with long-term relationships, not short-term profitability, in mind.

Henry Wu owns the whole Senses chain, but the name that matters to average diners, however, is new Chef Patrick Lin who has reinvented his predecessor's menu for a full sense-ual experience.

The 36-seat dining room is done in pale and light, clean tones. The whole space (the restaurant and entire hotel) was created by local firm Urban Innovations. Senses will surely be packed before every performance at Roy Thompson Hall and it plans on doing a brisk post performance cocktail service as well. – J.R.

    VERY DISAPPOINTING EVENING... OVERPRICED.
Went for dinner as part of Winterlicious festival. Agellotti and seafood lentil appetizers were ok. Entrées, tile fish and short prime rib were below average, extremely bland and uninspiring. SERVICE WAS VERY SLOW .... I would recommend putting this kind of money on the myriad of much better restaurants that TO offers, like Canoe, North 44 or even casual gems like The Black Hoof, Guu or even Kaiseki-Sakura.

I'm typing this with my iPhone while I'm waiting for my croissant. I don't know how I feel about paying $3.00 for a chocolate croissant. That's right. One. Chocolate. Croissant. $3.00! Anyways, I'm here right now waiting for my two croissants, starving and kind of still thinking that I paid too much for dough. It better be really really good.

Awesome place, crappy location. If you can find it, it's gold.Great bar... but pop by the cafe... I've gotten all of my olive oils there for the past few years, and the staff are fairly decent.
