Why come back: Because you’ll never do better with your five dollars. This is not fine dining, or even a dining experience I can easily classify. But I guess if you take the cost into consideration -- big food at negligible prices -- it's not a bad idea. And without a doubt it's got the laid-back thing down.
Upshot: Red Room has everything in place to become a popular, reliable pit stop.

6 Reader Reviews | Mostly expat student crowd. Standard mix of obnoxious tapas-bar types and hipsters. I love it though.

A great place to kick back a couple drinks in a small little bar. The music is from the bartender's Ipod so you can always let him know what you think, though I tend to enjoy it. The burger is pretty stellar--Brioche, local grass-fed beef (order it rare or medium-rare). Cheaper and more fun than Green Room (but a limited menu), especially when the hot blonde bartender is working.

Fuhgeddabout the Red Room. They don't allow kissing.
I was on a first date there, once. So after much chat and some drinks, I go to grab the bill. My date reaches for it too. A struggle ensues. I have it in my hands, raised above my head. Next thing I know, the date she straddles me, going for the bill. All over me. lol.
The owner steps in, with a Victorian scowl on her face... like, yo, lady, we be fightin' over the tab. Guess she thought that was sex. HA!
Fuck'em. Keep your old school culture and assumptions at home, k?
I won't be going back, see.
Nirvana it is.

Alcohol is priced very well...the food is cheap and satisfactory especially for its price ranges...unfortunately the staff was very rude to me and all of my friends. Red Room used to be a place i would advocate but having the past experiences Ive had i wouldn't recommend there to anyone (not if you like to be treated like people). The gentlemen in the green muscle shirt who served us was very rude even going as far as throwing the bill at us. to the owner william , FIND NEW STAFF

Decent but not great food. Nicely not crowded. So so coffee. But it's pretty cheap, and if I lived in the neighbourhood I'd be happy to have it around.

HELLO AWESOME! Welcome to the ultimate comfort food HAVEN! Whether your low on cash, REALLY HUNGRY, or wanting a cozy little spot to eat you've found your match! I've been twice and loved it! I still salivate thinking about the food! I had the stirfry plate, and I also had the spring rolls! Absolutly kick-a$$ food!! oh boy! can't wait to go back this weekend! Just don't go there looking for something glamourous in the decor... you strictly go for the food!! The decor is university-diner-chic. Its not the ritz, but its my favorite place to eat in the big "T dot". Hope you enjoy it too!!
