    Review by Amy Chung
Monsoon’s take on Asian fusion cuisine has been tailored for the North American palate. With dishes like the lobster stuffed with sweetbreads saffron and mussel broth, trio of peppers timbale, curried salt cod & blue potato cake ($55) and organic raised beef tenderloin oxtail and turned root vegetable stew, thai basil polenta, portobello carpaccio, almond & parsnip crisp ($42), patrons are surely going to have an expensive but gastronomic experience.

Award-winning design by the James Beard Foundation and accolades by the Wine Spectator, Monsoon will surely please the most delectable eaters in town. – A.C

I can't believe this place is still around. I would at least expect competent service but this place is out there. The restaurant was almost empty on a tuesday night with 10 customers and the server and manager were running around the restaurants like idiots.Kobe dumplings were cold and salty.Beef was overcooked and dry.

unlike the review below, I had 20 people for my birthday at this venue and had zero problems. The food was fantastic and we had no problems when it came down to paying. Drinks were great and the service was fabulous. It was not my first time there and it definitely won't be my last. The venue is absolutely beautiful!

We went here for a birthday party last night and I have NEVER had worse service in my life. The make it even worse, the place was empty. Our meal dragged on for 4 hours...countless mistakes in orders, overcharging, forgetting drinks, wine, spans of 40 minuftes without seeing waiters. Then, the Manager tried to blame it on the chef. The chef came out and they started arguing! What a disaster. To top it off there were 12 of us spending likely $1500. Never felt so ripped off in my life. DEFINTIELY avoid this one, they also made no apologies for their poor service.

I was incredibly disappointed with my experience at Monsoon. The service was terrible, the food hit and miss and very expensive. I sent back the soup as it was awful. No apologies from our server. I ordered the artic char and it was undercooked. I brought this to the attention of our server who just stared at me blankly. The presentation on all of our dishes was gorgeous and the other two entrees we ordered were very good. The beef tenderloin is served in a broth, which my friend didn't eat as the server promptly removed the spoon as she served it. The wine we ordered was not chilled and no appropriate substitution was made. The bill was almost $300.00 and I left still hungry as I had been unable to eat half of my food. Very disappointing. Not the Monsoon I remember from years ago.
