This neighbourhood bar offers jazz and a fun brunch menu. The eggs in purgatory (eggs poached in a tomato-meat sauce), green eggs and ham, (the green comes from pesto and spinach) and stuffed French toast (cream cheese squeezed between battered slices of cinnamon raison bread) guarantee that the Mezzrow’s fare is different from most interchangeable brunch menus. Mezzrow’s even has a different spin on the potato: the flavourful home fries are cooked in duck fat. Other menu items include burgers, pastas, meats and appetizers. This intimate restaurant/bar also has some funky décor like their enormous salt-water fish tank filled with clownfish.
