What was formerly just a twisted version of branding Barbies and other childhood toys with the same “Made in China” tattoo/skin lesion, is now a new resto on the downtown Yonge Street strip.

The owners of Queen West’s Korean Grill House (you know the place where you pay good money to burn the shit out of your chicken/beef and eat pickled everything?) have decided to tackle another aspect of the Asian market with this new restaurant that promises quality meals for reasonable prices.

For the truly bizarre and quirky menu, you must try the tasting menu – just $9.99 for whatever the “crazy and uncontrollable” chefs decide to prepare for you. A selection of bubble teas (for the eyeball in mouth feeling), rice & noodle platters, soups, appetizers and exotic dishes are also available though some real treats are to be found on the A La Carte menu.

Finally, a dish of ginger or red bean ice cream to cleanse the palate is a premium way to close a pleasurable Chinese dining experience.

eh....it's chinese fast food. It doesn't suck but it's not the best I've had either. Fried rice, orange chicken and string bean chicken. I had never ordered the string bean chicken so this would be new. I hated it. The string beans were overcooked and looked deflated. Found some little sharp thingy in there too. I'm sure it was from the chicken but who knows. i should have ordered the beef with broccoli like always.

Toronto is finally getting good Chinese food, though I have to admit that I wish more of it were designed with eating while walking in mind. Pass on this joint, and head toward Chinatown - treats galore. But not on Yonge street.

Great menu, very tasty, and they have a lunch special with about 20 choices for $5.99 that includes a drink.

Great value and lots of seating.

this spot is a great alternative when Salad King is closed on Sundays - or when you want a decent meal at a great price without the crowds or awkward seating. The szchechwan beef on rice is super tasty. Another great dish is the yellow curry (the little potatoes are to die for). Also, the dim sum appetizer is always a good start. The place is huge and no one seems to know about it, so you'll always get a good seat.
