Once in the main bar area, it’s hard to miss the stripper pole in the middle of the room, attracting many uninhibited ladies to display their dance mojo. Both sides of the room have booth style sitting areas. One side has a metal fence with traffic signs and license plates on it that look like they were ripped off during a drunken escapade. It surrounds a booth that has a leather banquet against the wall and two tables with built in buckets for bottle service (yup, a rock bar with bottle service). The other side has black tables and leather chairs with TV screens showing footage of live rock concerts.
As the night progresses, the crowd makes it feel less like a bar and more like a rowdy private party, which is probably due to the dirt-cheap bar prices (where else in Clubland are you going to find drinks under six bucks?) By 1:30am, the night is in full swing; the ladies are sharing the stripper pole, people are falling over and everyone is singing along to Journey, T-Rex, Gary Numan, Bloc Party, Metric and other anthems. Unless you’ve been living on a remote island, you are guaranteed to hear something you know. Prepare for some dirty fun. Also, good luck getting that Bush song out of your head. Damn. - J.B. |
