ooking to get Laide? If you're lucky enough to get laid on a regular basis, then you won't be needing to hit up this meat market. However, if you on the prowl, chances are you can get laid in more ways than one here (or perhaps pick up a "friend" out on the corner of this Jarvis and Adelaide locale). Upon entering the resto lounge, the nudie body casts of men and women adorn the walls (excellent props for alcohol induced photographs) leading down a corridor to the beautiful chandelier lit bar. The rooms a full of deep red and dusky lighting where patrons cozy up with the paramours on the supple leather couches, pulling iridescent curtains to block the view of onlookers should things get more intimate. Vintage pornos play on the screens throughout the night and a stripper pole is an enticing option for the ambitious. Dinner is served 'till the wee hours of the morning and the tapas menu is perfect for those looking for a small bite to eat or share with friends.

LOL you have to love reviews by people who admit that they never ate at Laide and did not even stay for more time then it took to read a menu.
I for one have eaten there and have partied at Laide and have to say the food is great two steps above similar places. Yea it is a Lounge so 9:30 on a prime Saturday night it will be empty, but wait an hour and watch it fill up. I love thier chicken brochettes (mini kebobs) and the Pork dumplings with sweet chili sauce.
Best of all the staff is amazing. Ask them to surprise you with a custom cocktail and you will not be disapointed!

Laide is often promoted as a dinner destination. I was there and it appears the menu concept has changed. Forget anything you've heard about the menu. It seems to be pretty standard lounge snacks now - tempura, chicken drumettes etc. No big deal at all.
I'm giving it a 1 star because their website still had their old menu up as well as 26 reviews praising the food - which means they are still promoting themselves as a dinner destination when CLEARLY they are now simply a lounge.
As a lounge, I can't really comment since we left when we realized dinner wasn't going to happen there, and at 9:30 on a Saturday night, there were more staff than drink customers.

Laide is one of those places that is hard to describe without sounding cliche. It is a Lounge with a sex theme BUT that is not what makes Laide great or unique. The place is small cozy and comfortable, people talk to each other and the staff makes you feel like you are old time friends. The owners are also the bartenders so they have a vested interest in making you feel welcome. Most people are greated by name and have their drinks in front of them before their jackets are off. The specialty cocktails are amazing from a thre layered martini to an Absinth & Champagne cocktail they are not only visually pleasing but taste great too.
And speaking of taste the food is amazing, and not amazing for a lounge but up against most restaurants in the city. The consulting chef does not just create the menu he is Laide everynight after his other restaurant closes to ensure that everything runs smoothly. The Snow Crab Enchilada with Jalapeno sauce was amazing I though the crab would be masked in a dish like this, but to my amazement you could taste it in every bite.
I guarantee that once you visit Laide you will recomend it to your friends.
