A product of the Restaurant Makeover renovation dream team, Kokkino’s new menu, designed by Four Seasons chef Lynn Crawford has local patrons rediscovering their love for the Greektown landmark. Contemporary Mediterranean dishes that rely heavily on Aegean influences are served in this sleek and sexy space - black and white modern design, with burnt wood tables and faux exposed brick accents. This is a nice change from the sea blue, stark white interiors of the Greek spots down the street and the Danforth location is always a bonus for a pre or post-dining stroll. No “Opa!” or smashed plates here – thankfully! Let's hope that the Restaurant Makeover investment paid off. - E.J.
