t's a hectic morning, a time when Torontonians find it socially acceptable to exchange the evil eye and a grunt, the definite signals for "I haven't had my coffee yet!" Well, new café Journo hopes to take a bit of that biting edge off coffee delivered in a space that offers up endless newspaper and magazine perusing.
With Van Houte-injected lattes, cappuccinos and other brewed treats, this location across from the Holiday Inn somewhat emulates Queen Street’s Tequila Bookworm with a huge selection of newspapers and magazines, also available for purchase. In any case, as Journo staffers will tell you, you just can't match Journo’s oomph.
Perhaps you won't be leaping tall buildings in a single bound, but you'll at least be bouncing off the walls... and get to read the latest issue of Wired for free.

1 Reader Reviews | The staff are super friendly and they made me a latte with a really cool design on top in the foam. The food is really nice and they were playing some awesome music. Lights are a bit bright but I hear they may change that soon. You can sit and enjoy your coffee while you read the paper or one of their magazines (they have a huge selection to chose from).
On the whole, a really funky new type of cafe.
