For the mains, the process was a slow one, which is fine with something like the veal scaloppine ($15.95), but is less successful with a butter-baked salmon ($15.95) as it leaves the fillet soft and rubbery. A good bet is the marinated rosemary lamb chops and the scaloppine served with herbed mushrooms and green onions, does a bit more justice.

If you liked Café Margaux, you’ll like Il Gusto. With good, low-key service, and a short, but intelligent wine list, the neighbourhood, I'm quite sure, is going to be very pleased to meet Il Gusto. - B.J.

    One word: Pathetic.
We went on a sunday for brunch, they weren´t even busy. The waitress couldn´t get I wanted a side of salad instead of fries.
After 20 minutes of me and boyfriend explaining her, she brougth me a whole salad!! We explained I only needed a side for my (mediocre) omelete, she never bring it to the table. The rest of the staff wasn´t helpful or nice neither. Worse service ever, I was just upset.

My girl friend and I walk in spontaneously and ordered some food. My girl friend ordered a Pasta dish and I ordered a steak. Our food took about 30 minutes to get ready and I have to say I was not impressed at all. The lack of flavor and their poor service was not a great experience. Save your money and try other great restaurants in little Italy.
