10 Reader Reviews | the way this place is being run is going to quickly guarantee a similar fate to that of it's predecessor, movenpick. the bar service is atrocious, the food is mediocre and overpriced for what it is, the staff have some sort of illusion that they are important people and think that it's cool to be arrogant. even the manager does not know how to handle a simple problem. such a disgrace to yorkville, where one should expect to find a well-run, classy, fun, relaxing place to grab a drink or enjoy a great dinner. dont waste your time or money at this joint.

"This place screams mediocre. I'd give it 1.5 stars if I knew how to do that.
This place was such a clash. The crowd was mostly white but the vibe was completely hip hop. It is like an "almost-there" club.
I found this place to be mostly first date couples trying to act young and hip. But then again I am slightly cynical for being single. I saw a guy trying to move his body casually, but it looked more like he was trying to move a broken hip. This same guy had a copy of Londonstani in his book bag with this young hot Asian girl on his arm. He was not the only pretend "cool" dork. I like dorks - I am one, but not dorks that need to showcase their coolness by surrounding themselves by product to feel cool. The place is classy... but then again I got to go VIP because I'm friends with the TIFF production who introduced me as an employee.

Booked Flow for a Winterlicious Girls' Night out. We waited 40 mins. for our table, despite making reservations. However, Micheal, our cordial host, apologized for the delay and made every effort to ensure that we were taken care of while we waited for our table. The evening only got better as Jeremy, our server, tended to our every need, which included handling two spilled wine glasses, one broken....soooooo sorry, and a club soda-lemon concoction in an attempt to rescue an outfit from red wine disaster. Thanks Jeremy and Michael for making our evening FLOW so smootthly.

Lovely place to have fun, beautiful decor and surroundings of the Snow Queen's ice palace. I went out with my friends on Dec. 31st and ended up sharing the place with 50 gay men. Is is a gay bar?

I can't comment on the food nor the food service. This was really not a great venue for having a mid-week cocktail for me. The staff seemed stressed, as if there was a micro-manager looking over their shoulder. I came in looking to unwind, and left wound up! You can hire a designer, decorator, colorist, and a Fung Shui specialist, but all of those things are just taking care of the vessel, the bricks and glassware. In the vessel is a vibe, a spirit, a groove. That's what people look for. Forget about the bricks and halogens, find a manger that can orchistrate his staff like a symphonic voodoo witch doctor. The best view of the atmosphere is from the sidewalk.

Flow is the place to be. An elegant mix of style and class to shake up a wild and crazy resturant. It's interior decorating is immaculate and food is exquisite. Chef Richard Andino's food is one of a kind, the kind you'll only find at a perfect restaurant.

Went there with a friend of mine and was blown away with the lavish interior and even more so with the friendly, non pretentious staff. Definetly going back for dinner. A nice refreshing break for Yorkville.

A new restaurant was what we were looking for having just arrived back from South East Asia. Strolling along Yorkville Avenue on a Monday night, we came across the recently opened Flow Restaurant and Lounge. Flow is a open concept styled restaurant with two floors. A lounge bar downstairs with spiral staircase leading you to the upstairs dining area and a patio that wraps around the restaurant. With a glass wall with flowing water, high ceilings, warm lighting and complementing beige and brown themes, this restaurant definitely has a cozy yet funky feel. The name of the restaurant and the design work well together. The hostess told us that there was no room on the patio outside and that we could go downstairs to the lounge for a drink until a table opened up. Before long we were brought up to our patio table facing Yorkville Avenue and were able to watch all of the action passing by as we enjoyed our meal. The crowd at this restaurant was laid back perhaps because it was a Monday evening and the wait staff were friendly, accommodating and professional. We enjoyed a decanted bottle of red wine and rare beef salad to start and then the succulent lamb chops with polenta. We ended our meal with two specialty coffee's. Their wine list is amazing and you will not be disappointed by their Martini and Cocktail list. This restaurant has a great Zen fusion concept and the design made the fact that it used to be the Movenpick Restaurant almost unrecognizable. I recommend this restaurant as a casual place for either a romantic dinner on the patio while summer lasts, or a meeting over a nice fruity martini in the downstairs lounge. It is a refreshing new addition to Yorkville.
