 s a youngster, glowing from the success of passing the G2 exam, I purloined my mother's car, recruited a friend, and headed south to Buffalo, that city of dreams and shimmer, for chicken wings. I could have saved ample gas money and transnational jitters if only Duff's College Street location had opened ten years ago. Duff's Famous Wings, the declaratively arrogant, much-loved mini-chain (Bayview and Buffalo), operated by brothers Hy and Rob Erlich, has taken over Marlowe's former space. Duff's sells wings and more, but why bother with more? - S.T.

1 Reader Reviews | well I went to duffs on a tuesday night for their wing night. To be honest the wings are not bad. Not the greatest but not the worst either. But when i went to Duffs the thing that angered me was the fact that if you do not finish your wings and you want to take the wings you do not finish home is that they charge you 30 cents per wing. Now they do not do anything special to wrap the wings up or anything but it cost me more extra to have 5 wings (1.80 extra plus tax) to take home than it would to have 1 (30 cents) to take home even though they just stick it in the same box. It would not have angered me if they just charged me 30 cents for the box or they said they do not do takeout and either eat the wings or leave em. It should not cost anymore to take home 5 wings than it would 2 if they use the same container and the wings were already paid for.
