While this isn’t quite the Tropicana club, you can still have a ball with Desi’s Indian/Canadian fusion menu. Christened after the original settlers from India, the restaurant focuses on aromatic spices, fresh, local ingredients, and an environment of warmth and hospitality.

A sister resto to Desi Junction, this venue accepts (paying) patrons from all walks of life. If you find your mouth flaming from an extra dose of spice (I myself often fall victim to jalapeños), look no further than the actual address (911) for medical assistance! –E.J.

I absolutely loved the food at Desi! 5 stars all round. Being Asian myself, tasting food like this was such a treat, so fresh and the naans were so nice and soft too! I particularly enjoyed the Chicken Tikka. It tasted just like my mum had cooked it at home which was amazing to get that in a restaurant! The service was great, the place has a great relaxing feel to it and the decor inside is gorgeous! It can suit any mood/occasion/family dinners/party etc. As it was our first time there, we asked staff if they had any suggestions as to what they would recommend, and their recommendations were great as we found no fault in any of the food! Compliments to the chef for some fantastic food, and proving that maybe mums cooking can be beat but so far, only at Desi Downtown!
