But my salmon was crispy around the edges and orange inside; although I'm not sure it went well with the accompanying bits of potatoes. Ditto the chicken breast, which seemed to get lost in a mixture of bland wild rice. But comfort-food addicts will enjoy the burger (with more frites, and a wet coleslaw) and the weekend brunch, which offers a roster of home-cooked items like fluffy buttermilk waffles and thick slabs of pork-belly bacon (drizzled with honey and black pepper. But the best was the seared salmon on julienned vegetables. Desserts have their own station.
Alas, all new café and all new food. Don't fret though, you can still get your meat loaf and gravy here. The best seats are in a quieter room with puffy, rattan chairs.
