or a few seconds a couple of years ago, Dundas West had a would-be air. Bars like the Communist Daughter, the Chelsea Room, and Cocktail Molotov sprung up in quick succession, attracting 50 drinkers, tight t-shirters and vinyl enthusiasts. Though Dundas hasn't exploded as quickly as initially thought, Stoberville has dominoed bar nascence up Ossington toward Portugal, so the street above Queen may yet blow up. An always cool Queen Street alternative, the narrow, candlelit, and tight-jean soundtracked Cocktail Molotov has a neighbourhood vibe, resembling Junction and Parkdale counterparts. The lighting is dim, the art is local and on rotation, and the crowd is, well, small (at least typically). It's an intimate and conversation-ready joint, serving zeitgeist drinks for the nearby sit and talk set. |

you never know: some nights cocktail molotov will be the perfect place to chat over drinks, seated at a table, listening to good tunes. other nights, it's packed and a fun place to party hard on the weekend. when the weather gets nice, there's a lovely wee patio in the patio where you can sit with your drinks.
also, several nights a week cocktail molotov has live dj's...sometimes with records, sometimes with computers. always an awesome crowd, whether 4 people or 40.
