There’s a healthy selection of teas and juices on hand, so it's not that there are no beverage options besides their fresh roast. Clearly, there's much less talent involved in steeping tea or selling a juice, than crafting a good shot of espresso, and frothing milk just so. Admitted, a good smoothie recipe is always a good find. For those who love their planet, as much as they love their coffee, Cherry Bomb serves all take out in eco-friendly, corn-made cups.

Another find here is the fresh quiche, baked daily and always delicious. Montreal style bagels make for a refreshing change, and their house made cookies are all tasty. This place has other goodies aplenty, and is even rumoured at giving out freebie treats to the dogs accompanying their patrons for their morning brew. Human customers are urged to try the aptly tart Ontario sour cherry pie. Each forkful is like a burst of sweet and sour cherry bite on the tongue.

They do most of their own baking, and cook some nice soups on the small stove top behind the counter. The space in its entirety is on the small side, but is clearly very resourceful with existing space. This isn't a wireless internet adorned Starbucks - thank the lord. There's much more character to this place than any 'Buck - 'large', 'medium', and 'small' are all included in the menu vocabulary. A soy Grande will draw a blank stare.

When Roncesvalles was less developed, having Alternative Grounds at the north end near Howard Park was enough to satisfy the crowds. Since then, as the "Ron'see Village" grew, both Timothys and Second Cup have made that end of the strip their home. Mainstream excites some people sometimes, but there's always a certain satisfaction in supporting the little guys while enjoying a more unique (better?) coffee. So Cherry Bomb, much further south, is a welcome addition to the street, even though it's not the first place to make a dollar on coffee there.

Cherry Bomb is wonderful because it gives every coffee, cappucino, americano, espresso, latte, and whatever other coffee type beverage I may have missed the focus and attention of true coffee artistes. The owner and his wife know and love their coffee, and for those who consider themselves coffee gourmands, you won't be disappointed. Also, try the mixed berry muffins. I'm loath to recommend them becuase I don't want them all to be gone when I get there, but, they are astonishing.

The pleasure of Cherry Bomb is its coffee, pastries and, most importantly, the people in front of and behind the counter. In the morning, the owners are there baking and serving. A wide range of people come in and out: staff from St. Joseph's hospital, people who live around the corner, people from up the street driving to work, and people walking their babies. What a joy!

Cherry Bomb is a place that knows how to do things right. Fantastic, friendly service. I can get my morning coffee closer to home, but I walk an extra two blocks to get to Cherry Bomb!

Cherry Bomb serves "dark city" coffee. If you haven't tried dark city and really like your coffee (especially black) then you must go...it tastes delicious, and they're always featuring new roasts.

Cherry Bomb is a terrific addition to the street. The coffee is excellent - beats the Corp-type coffee's up the street by a galaxy. The food is fresh, good, and - well - sincere!

Good roast, good politics, and lovely people behind the counter. The morning TTC trip to work has never been better, since I discovered Cherry Bomb!
