he concept behind Bread & Circus (193 ½ Baldwin) is unique to Kensington, one where tavern turns theatre. It’s an open space for everything visually and mentally stimulating, aiming to captivate the audience without imposing on conversation. The small stage at the side of the room is site to performance art, independent films, instruction on the theory of relativity, mixed martial arts demonstrations, small vignettes, comedy, monologues, opera, live music, and, well—any kind of amusing diversion. -L.S. |

This is a great new venue! I'm glad to see that something so unique has started in Toronto. The bar fills a nice little niche that has been missing for a long time.
