esign team McKay-Wong brought together a sunny breakfast theme seamlessly. A breakfast bar and a few tables dominate the front. In back, you'll find a narrow, brightly-lit diner, where more tables and cleverly designed banquettes fill much of the canary-yellow space.
Bonjour can hold its own; this quaint, homespun patisserie is bright and breezy, crisp and simple with floral tablecloths, attracting a comfortable Riverdale crowd. Great breads and pastries are baked on the premises in an open kitchen.
Boom owners Mauro Martina and Tony Capellano prepared a menu that offers food that mom might have made if she was getting paid; the fare leans heavily toward the comfort-food direction, offering almost anything that’s made from eggs: power Breakfasts, crepes, sandwiches. There are several standard 2-egg breakfasts on the menu, including a pleasant BennyBoom - poached eggs with steamed spinach and smoked salmon, drizzled with a lemon-scented Hollandaise sauce.
An alt-breakfast route, try the savory crepe, thin, nicely browned and filled with mushrooms, smoked salmon or grilled chicken. This will not hold a breakfast master's interest, but it's fun (the salmon is generous) nibble. That's also true of the omelettes, plate-sized packages filled with wild mushrooms, black forest ham or smoked bacon, and matched nicely with frites and toast. There are decent portions of fruit smoothies on the menu as well: combinations of blueberry, banana, strawberry, orange.

This place is super cute. The staff is nice. The bathroom is giant compared to the cozy eating area and looks amazing. That's pretty much it though. The food though is bland and uninspiring. There's really no reason to go back a second time.

I live in the neighbourhood and was very excited when Boom opened. I was in desperate need of a good all-day breakfast place nearby.
Though on certain high-traffic brunch days (mostly weekends) the wait can be quite long for a table, I think the food and not-so-great but not-so-terrible diner coffee is well worth the wait.
Chocolate chip pancakes are the greatest.

Terrible. It took a long time to get seated, then took even longer to order, then it took even LONGER to get our food. Additionally, I ordered the "Boom Breakfast" - 2 eggs, bacon, fires and fried tomato's. I got ONE SLICE of fried tomato, and the bacon was over done. Don't go here, its garbage.

If you love to dance & have fun then Film Lounge is the place! The MUSIC, the people and the atmosphere is amazing. I have been going to film, on and off, for 3 years and it still feels great every time. Film is like "Cheers" to me, a place where everyone knows your name. Saturday's are the best nights but Friday's are still good. Some people have said to me that when they have gone to film, it was crazy, that's because they arrive at 3am. For someone who has never been to film, 3am is not the time to go because once you get in, for the first time, it will be overwhelming. I suggest, everyone, who goes for the first time to arrive at 12am, it won't be busy, but thats what you want. Arriving at 12am allows you to build up with the crowd, this way it won't be so overwhelming.
