Aptly enough, stunning artwork alone does not create a hot spot. Don't worry, this level of quality has extended to all aspects of Azure: the kitchen has been taken over by Executive Chef Laurent Kehr and Chef Masayuki Tamaru (Crush), while all 800 labels of wine are carefully controlled by sommelier Kit Gingrich. "It's a lifetime pursuit," Gingrich says on her life as a sommelier. I'm constantly studying, and it's extremely thrilling. My first career choice was to be a pilot, but I just didn't feel it had that particular zing."

Recent visits have found the bar pulsing with a hip mix of out-of-towners and locals alike, a democratic collection of expense account types. All of which equates to more of an after-dark scene that Front Street has seen in years. - D.E.

Too expensive for what you get, no atmosphere at all, no patrons at all whenever I was there.

The portion of the vension chop was so small (1 piece) that we thought it was a tasting portion but the price is $36. The piece was the size of a rack of lamb. Service was very slow and when we complaint to their manager, she was very un-professional and not willing to resolve the issue.

If you want to spend money and have a good time, DON'T go there.

Pompous and overpriced. Hardly a person in the place. Went twice and there wasn't more than four people in the whole place. Atmosphere was marginal. I thought this was a cool place for downtown white collar workers and people in the arts scene or visiting the local theatres to hang out, but it felt like a morgue. Avoid at all costs - there are cooler places in the area to hangout.
