his little café is the ideal middle ground between the hipster hangs to the north and the frat traps just south of its Kensington Market location. Built by first-time restaurateur Samantha Biderman, Aspetta has all the features of a cozy neighborhood café. The front door rolls up to reveal a deli counter featuring the day’s goods – usually. A chalkboard displays the completely homegrown beer selection, and knowledgeable server do their best to answer your beverage-related questions.
Those of you who have been watching the space may be curious as to why it has taken so long to open up. The reason is that Biderman has been trying to get the required permits but the city has been quite tight with doling these out. Nonetheless, little Aspetta is up and open to the masses.
