home for the very, very young. Here we have the smell of turned-on club kids, innocent by reason of temporary hormonal insanity. Unlike the work-weary cocktail folk who show up at over-age lounges, these kids adorn their baby fat with cartoonish style, emphasizing red-wine lips, naked skin, and barely sheathed curves. They throb en masse to anonymous '80's tunes, trying to exorcise the high-school misery from all that luxuriant flesh.
Afterlife, a recent transplant on Adelaide Street West, is aimed straight at the heart of the very, very young. Although 18-year old parties tend to be huge moneymakers, it’s best to avoid them if you are not an 18-year old.
Limelight, the previous tenant at this location, had turned their younger Friday night parties into their most profitable nights, but now Afterlife will need to find it’s core audience.
Afterlife most certainly wanted to capitalize on the acquisition of Limelight’s Friday party lineup. Most of their promotional teams seem to be trying to bring the age average up a notch, but the club will naturally find its core audience, regardless of the age it ends up being. Afterlife maintains a standard of Limelight-type lighting and sound system and will continue to invest in technologies to further enhance the ambience of the club. Décor at Afterlife utilizes the club's spaciousness to provide plenty of room for everything from lounging and dancing to simply moving about the club.

If you want good service from any bartender, you have to tip. I have the suspicion that the girls giving bad reviews probably didn't tip; hence, the bad service. People need to remember that these girls make about $6/hour, and consistently give up their weekends to hopefully make money. If you're not tipping, why waste their time serving you?

Unbelievable! The WORST SERVICE OF THE YEAR. I WILL WRITE A LETTER TO ALL THE NEWSPAPERS ABOUT AFTERLIFE. It was a cheap drink night on 07-06-23-- 3.50 per drink. I ordered 2 cocktails and 1 beer at the bar. The bartender charged me 17$. Let me do the math here: 2 cocktail =$7 + 1 beer = $10. It is either afterlife is over-charging the beer. expensive 10 bucks per beer or the bartender being dishonest and try to put some money in her own pocket. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND afterlife as they have very dishonest bartenders and all their staffs are SUPER RUDE. I go to clubs very frequently, this is the first club i ever been to with soooooooooo much rude-ness and atitude. I don't know what's wrong with the person who responsible for hiring in that place--- It is so difficult to hire ALL the staffs with atitude. Their service is the worst service i ever received in my whole life. I WILL NEVER GO THERE EVER AGAIN. If someone give me $300 now to go have fun at afterlife--I STILL WOULDN"T GO!!! It's not worth it. DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME TO GO TO AFTERLIFE, I FEEL TRAUMATIZE from this place. It's not the place itself, it's the staffing issue that they need to resolve right away.

Went to Afterlife on Sunday (March 11, 07). Ladies were free before 11:30PM, but the party did not really start until after midnight. The venues was decent. Three floors, one patio, and two dancefloors. The music was okay, it was mainly hip-hop and reggae. Couldn't dance to every song but overall, it was fine. The crowd was nice, I would say between 19 and late 20s. Bartenders were bitches. "Alcohol" were not even alcohol; I was no where near being tipsy after three shots; buying drinks at Afterlife was like getting robbed. My friends and I left the club when it closed (3AM), so the coat-check line was pretty much empty. I wouldn't mind going back to Afterlife, not once a week though, probably once in two months or so.

not a bad place....the bartenders are nice, to guys and girls, the drink are cheap, the music is standard....sundays the drinks are smth ridiculous like 3$ so its always fun....and for whoever decided that it was a place for 18 year olds; sorry, but you must have caught them on a meetmeinto.com all ages jams which happen like 4-5 times a year....try it any sunday and you'll be happy for the money spent!

i somehow ended up at afterlife every saturday for about a month. its the fallback club. if u don't wanna try something new, you know you'll always have a good time here. the bouncers are pretty strict with dress code at least for guys, 10bux for cover isn't really worth it, plan ahead and put urself on the guestlist (saturday). sundays are just as good, very cheap drinks, on both nights the shooter girls are very nice, the music is amazing (mostly urban saturday, urban/dance on sunday)
