    1. Jane's Review :: March 10, 2008
    Awesome place to party in summer. The outside patio is huge and very nice they even had fashion shows happening there. The interior design of it is nice but when its too overcrowded its impossible to stand. Over all a nice place.

    This is full of ugly people! They pick and choose who gets in and the girl with the guestlist purposely doesn't let the hot girls get in. I was so disappointed in the crowd. If you are Ugly and overweight, you can get into C-lounge.

    customer service is sooo bad.
    wanted to make sure my guest of about 40+ gets in on an important event.
    Emailed and called numerous numbers of time but never even got back to me.
    i would have to take my party to a different venue thats for sure.
    For a business that relies on word of mouth, experience and people, they sure dont know how to keep business.
    yes the place and concept looks absolutely amazing but with the way theyre treating guests, they wont be able to keep the crowd coming.

    its too bad.

    When C Lounge first opened, it was hot! After awhile, it did loose its appeal (like most places). However, it is making a comeback. The place is awlays busy (even Monday nights!). The crowd is good-looking and the music is great.

    On Oct 28 2006, I celebrated my birthday at C Lounge. Before deciding on where to party, I read many many horrible reviews of C Lounge, and frankly was very worried about how my night would turn out. However I'm very thankful I didn't experience anything close to that. I got hooked up very nicely because of the work done by the Guest Services at the hotel I was staying and the driver of car that we arrived in. It's a decent lounge! Atmosphere was very nice! Seating was comfortable! Drinks were well made! Music was amazing! Service in the washroom/spa was kind and polite! My only complaint was one of the bartenders that had a slight misunderstanding of our order. It was later in the evening, and we orders a few waters. She apparently clarified that they were vodka-waters and not just waters. None of my party recalls her doing that. However after she brought the vodka-waters, and we told her we just wanted waters, she didn't bother bringing us the waters, and she also didn't look at us again. Not really an issue, because she knows she wasn't getting any money from us on that order, but accepting a mistake in the service industry has never been down upon. Overall I rate C Lounge: 4 indoor designer water fall fixtures out of 5!

    Thanks martiniboys.com!!!!

    7. Crystal's Review :: September 10, 2006
    Went on a Saturday night, called at 8pm to find out if there was a guest list. The person who answered said no, so we got there for 11pm and see this lady standing outside with a clipboard. She was letting guestlist ppl in (there was some company party for models and then "jess" who had a list of 40ppl). I was a bit peeved about that, and then it was us and like 40 other ppl standing in a semi circle....there was no order no line no nothing. So i just pushed myself forward, waited patiently and the bouncer (buff asian dude, really mean looking but very nice) randomly chose who went in. w/in 15mins of that we got in.

    For 11:30 the place seemed a bit dead, just filled w/those two groups on guestlist, but the atmosphere was really chic and the patio was swanky if i dont say so myself! Music picked up and everyone was dancing....the crowd was mixed and the avg age was around 22-30. My only real complaint was the bathroom wait....45mins AT LEAST!!! we eventually of that :D

    This place Blows BIG time. I never got into the establishment.

    Myself and my friends were there for a bday and the douche bag bouncer made us wait although we were on the guestlist (no others were outside waiting to get in at this time).

    He then made us line up which we did, but then he started to let in random people in e.g 300lb Paris hilton wanna be (sweetheart if you read this; give it up..you don't look a single bit like her!)

    He proceeded to let people in that were not of east indian or coloured origin which disturbed our group. we decided to leave and visit another esablishment.

    It was quicker and easier to get into the better clubs in las vegas than it is to get into Pee-lounge.

    9. Ciara's Review :: July 17, 2006
    Went there for a friend's birthday on a Thursday night, we went early for the Pad Thai stations and 3$ martinis. I thought it would be too good to be true and I was right, the Pad Thai was horrible and the 3$ martinis were actually 3$ shots. The place was completely dead... the only nice thing about the place was the friendly bar staff. If the food were better, more people it would have potential.

    Advice: Don't even try.

    Not once. In my life. Have I ever been this upset over a bar: Our friends met at C Lounge at about 10:15 p.m. for a birthday party (the establishment has no guest list on a Saturday). We stood at the front of the line in the blistering cold. Eventually, the line became a shivering semi-circle of bodies pressed against the velvet rope. The bar staff/bouncers created a free-for-all. The only system for entrance seemed to be how much paper you put into the bouncer's palm. One said to us: "Call a number" (or how much are you willing to pay to stop standing here like a fool in the snow? On top of the cover charge, no less.) They were rude and arrogant.

    Some of my friends (including the birthday boy) suffered through the wait and eventually got in after midnight (they surrendered and paid $20 each). I walked away.

    No business that respects its customers should treat people that way. And no one should have to take that kind of treatment from anyone, at anytime.

    11. Cindy's Review :: February 10, 2006
    People, do not waste your time and money on this place. It's a pathetic imitation of the Delano Hotel in Miami for which I've been to. The C Lounge doesn't even come close to the real thing! Ironically, the Delano didn't at all have the attitude. That's the problem with clubs like C Lounge; they create this sense of 'prestige' by picking and choosing whom they want to let in. And sadly...it works. The more difficult it is to get in, they more people want in. Can't the crap please! If everyone boycotted clubs with policies like this, they'd stop doing it. But then again, there are enough depressed, insecure, fat wallet carrying smucks that would still go. As for the bouncers...they probably work in some low paying, low ranking job by day....hence, the need to exploit whatever little 'power' they have in life. Sad.

    12. Jason Trumpwal's Review :: December 18, 2005
    My friends and I travelled to toronto from out of town to celebrate a friends birthday party, we choose c-lounge to be our venue for the evening. We got there and let me tell ya... I have the same comments as the two posts above this one. I was surprise to see this club had no line up, everyone is crowded in a circle waiting to be selected by some unknown criteria to gain entrance.

    I think Mili Jain put it well in his post above:
    "I felt as though I was standing in a grade 6 gym glass waiting to be chosen to play on a soccer team... " HAHAHA.

    We did not all arrive at the club at the same time. Some members of our party arrived 15 minutes later. The bouncer let in the ones who arrived early after demanding monetary compensation. Then some of us waited for teh rest of our party, and 15 minutes later once they arrive, the bouncers tells us :
    "Ok sorry guys, the price just went up!" - this greedy bouncer wanted more money! He knew very well he had us by the balls since half of our crew was already in the club! The bouncers at C-Lounge have no class.

    Had the same experience as the last poster. Tried to check out the Ice lounge aspect of C-lounge, got there at around 10pm. About 20 people dutifully lining up as most Canadians do. They had the velvet ropes up and were just getting going. Saw a girl try to ask someone a question to the main guy behind the ropes and the guy wouldn't answer, just told her to get back in line if she wanted to get in. Then the bouncer asked everyone to come around him. I expected him to start letting people in but then he did the picking and choosing routine. I have no problems if there is a lineup and others get in ahead if they are on a list but the picking and choosing was too much. I asked the bouncer what was going on and he said they can run the lineup anyway they want. This arrogance has got to go.

    14. Gargi Singh's Review :: November 27, 2005
    My friend from Japan was visiting for the weekend and we thought the "Ice Bar" at C lounge would be a cool place to take her. When we arrived people were standing in an orderly line waiting to get in. The bounce then asks everyone to gather around the front door. We were standing right in the front. He asked us how many we were--he then proceeded to allow people all around us in. I have been going to clubs in Toronto for 10 years..I have never had trouble getting in anywhere. The people getting in around us were all white... we were 3 Indians and a Japanese girl. I hate to say it but our Japanese fried is going back to Japan knowing that blantant discrimination is alive and well in Toronto. How sad.

    15. Mili Jain's Review :: October 23, 2005
    I was absolutely disgusted and appalled with the service at C-Lounge. Not only did I drive 3 hours to come to Toronto to see my friends who were visiting from overseas but I was forced to wait an hour and half at the FRONT of the line with only 2 other people while groups of 15-20 were being let in. If that's enough their concept of a line-up is extremely misconstrued. I felt as though I was standing in a grade 6 gym glass waiting to be chosen to play on a soccer team. Partygoers are asked to surround the main entrance of the bar while the power hungry bouncers pick and choose who they would like to let in. I urge C-lounge to learn the concept of a guest list line. One bouncer then decided that guest list was closed while his partner continued to check names off a clipboard. Maybe the communication between the staff needs to be a little more clear. I was then almost pushed down by an over intoxicated male who was scolded by the bouncer and then conveniently allowed in after 5 minutes...because he was on the "guestlist".

    I am 23 and I partly run an on-campus bar at my University. The management at C-Lounge could stand to learn a few things such as the concept of a guest list line, a time cut off for guest list and not allowing overly intoxicated individuals into the bar. Maybe managing a fleet of chimps would be a better occupation for the bouncers at C-Lounge.

    16. Kathleen's Review :: July 12, 2005
    C Lounge has one of the nicest patios in the city, however I went on saturday night and after waiting 45 minutes to get in and paying $10 cover charge, they wouldn't let anyone on the patio unless you had reserved a booth for bottle service. They formed a line for the rest of us that looked to be about an hour long wait, and if you finaly managed to get on the patio you couldn't leave to go to the bathroom or you would have to wait in the line-up again to get back in. They told us it was because there was only capacity for 200 people on the patio and they had almost that many people who had bottle service. We left extremely dissapointed and angry. If you want a good patio, don't waste your time here.

    Liberty grup owned and managed on tues june june 14 by Alexis Koreen.

    Ok here is the scope opening night party for short film festival and the c-lounge close it's patio doors on its patrons. why? we ask when a big burly bouncer won't let the patrons in or out who have paid for the privilage of not enough canpy food due to only one wait staff serving 500 people. The party planners need a alot of credit because yes the space is nice the staff is not and the atmosphere is ruined when hungry guests are forced to drink only one ticket worth of alchol.. Hey nxt time plan a better venue and tell your guests that the reasson we have closed the easy acess patio. announcenments go a long way folks.
